Matt McWilliam is making a mark on the business world and in his community. He demonstrates that success is more than bottom line results.
Matt enjoys talking to people and helping them invest in something he knows they will be happy with.
Matt McWilliam has demonstrated astute business acumen since he was young.
At the age of 13 he created Xtreme Music Lists, a music industry resource so popular that it out-ranked the likes of MTV.com, Billboard.com, and Amazon.com.
The success of Xtreme Music Lists led Matt to create his own affiliate network for paid banner advertisements. Matt also published a paper on creating and running an advertisement network later recognized by DECA.
This was 1997 after all, and the Internet was still in it’s infancy. Matt recognized that there were many more opportunities ahead.
As a senior in high school, Matt worked for AT&T as a sales manager where he interviewed, hired, and managed a highly motivated sales team, expanding it to over a dozen sales representatives. Matt did this during his last year of high school, graduating in 2002, and was voted “Most Independent” by the peers of his graduating class.
Matt McWilliam put his web development skills back to work and formed MJM Design in late 2005.
MJM Design, a premier web development and marketing firm, creates a diverse range of websites and marketing solutions for businesses, non-profits, and educational and healthcare institutions across the United States.
MJM Design holds several successful web properties including Rent Merchant, Uplifting News and Velvet Rope. Today, MJM Design has clients in most major metropolitan areas of the United States and is considered one of the leading web development and Internet marketing companies in the nation.
Along with his success in business, Matt McWilliam is a noted expert and author of numerous business related publications which are syndicated across the Internet.
Matt also enjoys donating his time and giving back to the community.
As a downtown based business owner and being born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Matt wanted to offer something back to his community.
In 2004, Matt founded Cleveland Apartment Finders as a resource for apartment communities and property management companies to list vacancies.
In 2011, Matt began volunteering at the Contemporary Arts Center of Las Vegas (CAC) where he was voted on to the Board of Directors for the organization.
During his time working with the CAC, he helped the non-profit with the design and development of the organization’s website and the public facing marketing campaigns, which resulted in a marked increase in new membership sign ups, annual membership renewals, and heightened awareness of community centered cultural events hosted by the organization.
Matt believes in paying it forward, helping others in a slow economy, and making his community a better place to live.
